Before you can begin your home search, your real estate consultant will seek to understand as much as possible about the features and amenities that are important to you in your new home. You should begin to think about what features and amenities are a Need vs a Want which will help your Agent better serve you.

Features:

• Age: Do you prefer historic properties, or newer construction?

• Style: Do you have a preference for ranches, colonials, craftsman, bungalows, or another style of construction?

• Bedrooms: How many do you need?

• Bathrooms: How many do you need? Do they need to be updated?

• Living and Dining Areas: Are you looking for a traditional layout, or an open concept design?

• Stories: How many do you prefer/need?

• Square feet: How much space do you need now and in the future?

• Kitchen: Does it need to be updated? Open to living areas?

• Storage: Big closets or walk-in?

• Parking: Do you need or want a garage? How many cars?

• Extras: Do you need or want additional space for storage or to expand such as an attic or basement?
